Gerald Ford is CFUF’s Business Development and Training Manager for the Practitioners Leadership Institute.  Since March of 2014, Mr. Ford is responsible for delivering high quality information, resources and best practices, to nationally located organizations, agencies and practitioners invested in the Responsible Fatherhood, Family Strengthening and Workforce Development fields. Mr. Ford develops customized and curriculum-based trainings, depending on the request from practitioners and organizations. 

For more than 15 years, Mr. Ford has been implementing and evaluating different community development programs and policies.  His experience in economic development covers a wide spectrum of sectors including home ownership, financial literacy, workforce development, fatherhood programs, base closure and realignment (BRAC), energy efficiency and microenterprise development.   Mr. Ford has a long history with working for successful organizations such as The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF), the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, the Maryland Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation, The City of Wilmington, Delaware’s Enterprise Community, The State of Delaware’s Services for Children, youth and their Families, and Senior Service America, Inc. (SSAI). 

 Mr. Ford, a former Woodrow Wilson Fellow, holds a Master’s degree in Public Management and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University.  Mr. Ford is also a Certified Professional Coach.
